Maria José Oliveira is from São Paulo and currently resides in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; She has been a specialist psychologist for over 30 years, Lecturer, Writer and Artistic Painter. He participated in several exhibitions outside Rio de Janeiro and, recently, one of his works was selected to participate in the Salon Art Shopping Carrousel du Louvre in Paris - France in the period from 18 to 20/10 / 2019Art has always been present in his life, through theater, dance, drawings and paintings. In 1991 he made several abstract paintings, using strong and vibrant colors, giving these works to family and friends. In 1995, in order to improve his knowledge, he took a course in oil painting, producing several paintings with floral themes. These paintings were exhibited at the Arts and Ecology Fair, which took place at Parque Ecológico Chico Mendes in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He took a course in art history and painting techniques, inspired by the great consecrated masters. He produced numerous reinterpretations of the Byzantine period, the works of Leonardo da Vinci (Renaissance), the Baroque art of Caravaggio, the works of William Turner (Romanticism), the rural scenes of Jean-Francois Millet (realism) and the re-reading of the works of the masters of the impressionism, post-impressionism and expressionism: Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Van Gogh etc. In addition to the reinterpretations, he created his own works from each period mentioned. He also created abstract expressionist works and some works inspired by Pablo Picasso's Cubism periods and Salvador Dali's Surrealism.
